Vega Commerce's monolithic storefront buckled under seasonal traffic spikes, while over-provisioning to survive peaks meant paying for idle capacity the rest of the year. Releases were risky and slow.
Our approach
- Decomposed the monolith's highest-traffic paths using a strangler-fig approach
- Introduced containers on AKS with autoscaling tuned to demand
- Added CDN, caching, and performance optimization across the storefront
- Implemented GitOps delivery and automated quality gates
- Applied FinOps rightsizing to align spend with the demand curve
